In October, my Mom & Dad, sister Katie and I went on an amazing trip to Vienna and Prague.

While in Vienna, we hooked up with my wonderful cousin Penny Atchley who lives in Switzerland.

I took a million pictures, Europe is so much fun to photograph.

Halloween at Aunt Mary Jane's

Halloween at Aunt Mary Jane's is becoming one of my favorite events of the year.

Every year, nearly the entire Zarbock Family, from Grandparents on down all show up in costume for a Halloween party at Mary Jane & Lynn Despain's house in Sandy.

This year did not disappoint. As always, dinner was wonderful and the games and activities were top notch.

I've highlighted several of the costumes below...photos don't do many of them justice because some had music and actions to go along with the outfits.

Uncle John and Aunt Kathy came as Utah fans, because they wanted to be "winners" too. Kathy made a batch of red cookies to honor the Utes.

Janet and family were a circus train, and Eric was a clown - kind of a scary clown, Dawson and Carson were afraid of him :)

The Murri's were the cast of Peter Pan...I just loved Sierra's costume.

The Despains were quite creative too this year. Jake makes a great lolipop to Ann's candy corn, don't you think?

My family went with the Star Wars theme this year. Note that there are 3 princess Lea's, and that I had to play Darth Mahl. Mom put dried out cinnimon rolls on her head and the bottom half of Mikie's costume may have been the cowardly lion from the Wizard of Oz last year..i'm just saying...

The little powdered gem donuts on a string game is always fun, especially when the big boys turn into little boys. When Zak didn't get his donut eaten first, he added the "first one to whistle after eating their donut" criteria to the game...

Thanks again to the Despain's for throwing a stellar party yet again this year!

Trunk-or-Treat

On Friday, October, 25, 1-800 Contacts hosted "Trunk-or-treat" for the Employees and their families. Without children of my own to show off, I decided to borrow my nephews for a couple of hours.

Carson and Boston came as Buzz and Woody, and Dallin, Braxton and Dawson wore their "Star Wars" costumes.

The boys got lots of treats, despite being kind of scared of some of the trunks. They ate cookies and chocolate milk, then worked on a Halloween craft!

Thanks to Betsy and Tiffany for getting the kids all dressed up and letting me borrow them for the evening!

HSM3 - Happy Birthday Carson!

We all went with Carson to see High School Musical 3 for his 3rd birthday in October...what a fun day.

He loved the movie, danced in the isles and tried to sing along.

My favorite part was when Carson started kissing everyone when Troy and Gabriella kissed in the movie :). Luckily, we were all family.

A little catching up to do....

So, blogging has not been at the top of my priority list lately. I've been filling my days with lots of work, Relief Society, family, travels and a little bit of fun. I'm hoping to do a little catching up over the holidays.

Here are some pictures from General Conference, the first of October. We go to the family cabin every year at conference time. It is such a realxing time to share together. I love the fall leaves and cool nights. The nephews are especially photogenic at the cabin for some reason.

This year, we were joined by cousins Rebecca & Justin, Spencer & Kellie, and Jake & Ann. Grandma and Grandpa Zarbock also came up for Mom's famous Sunday morning breakfast and to hear the Prophet speak.

Costco Lady, what were you thinking?

Saturday, minding my own business at Costco (a place I frequent more than I care to admit) a woman of a mature age with, what I'm assuming, was her husband, walked in and caught my attention immediately. Why you ask? Because her hair was dyed about 7 different colors. These were not the typical colors you see on the head of a woman of a mature age shopping at Costco with her husband.

The sight was so shocking that I had to snap a "blackberry shot" so that all of you would belive me.

See what I mean? The other side of her head was yellow, blue and red...seriously, what was she thinking when she sat down in the stylist's chair?
